Based on what I’ve been able to find, MZU does not appear to be the same company as XiangAi, although both sell very similar pneumatic robotic rehabilitation gloves and may be sourcing from similar manufacturers. I could not find evidence that MZU is a XiangAi brand or subsidiary. (XiangAi)
A few differences:
- XiangAi has its own branded website, warranty program, customer support, and product line. (XiangAi)
- MZU is commonly found through marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, and other online sellers rather than through a well-established manufacturer website. (Reddit)
- Both use air-pressure-driven finger movement and often include mirror-training features, so they can look nearly identical. (XiangAi)
Here’s the way i’d rank them:
- XiangAi – Better established, longer warranty, better support, more documented features. (XiangAi)
- MZU – Mid-range option if found at a good price. Although the Xiangai and the MZU are the same price, I choose the MZU because it was on sale; otherwise, I would have chosen the Xiangai.
- Kinora – Lowest cost, but less proven and of more variable quality based on user reports.
Given my own experience of using a robotic glove consistently with functional exercises, I’d like to emphasize that the glove itself is only part of the equation. The survivors who seem to get the most benefit are those who use the glove regularly and then follow up with active hand exercises and daily-use tasks.
