Big news from My Survived Stroke Blog — two powerful new features are now LIVE!
As many of you know, my journey with stroke started back in November 2008. I went from waking up in the ICU unable to move my left side to spending years working through recovery, frustration, small wins, and everything in between. One thing I’ve learned is this: no one should have to go through this alone.
That’s why I’m excited to introduce Survived Stroke Chat — a dedicated space for members to connect, talk, and support each other in real time. Recovery can feel isolating, but having people who truly understand what you’re going through makes a huge difference. This chat room is here so survivors, caregivers, and supporters can share, ask, vent, and encourage one another.
I’m also proud to launch the ability to submit and share your own stroke survivor story. Every recovery journey is different — including mine — and there’s so much we can learn from each other. These stories will be published and available for anyone looking for guidance, hope, or real-world insight into stroke recovery.
Some stories will be about success. Others may be about setbacks. Both matter.
The goal is simple:
To build a place where we can learn from each other’s experiences and remind one another that progress — no matter how small — is possible.
If you’re a TBI/ Stroke survivor or caregiver, I encourage you to join the community and consider sharing your story. What you’ve been through could be exactly what someone else needs to hear.
